Capital Deployment Associates support investment teams by executing investment decisions, deploying capital into approved transactions, and monitoring the progress of deployed funds. This role combines financial analysis, operational execution, and collaboration with portfolio and deal teams to ensure timely and accurate capital allocation.
These roles often involve working closely with portfolio managers, deal teams, operations, and risk management to manage commitments, track fund usage, and ensure adherence to investment guidelines.
Key ResponsibilitiesAssist in deploying capital to new and existing investments in accordance with approved strategies
Coordinate with deal teams, legal, and operations to ensure timely and accurate execution of investments
Monitor committed but uninvested capital and manage fund availability
Track investment activity, cash movements, and allocation across portfolios
Support reconciliation of investment records and ensure alignment with internal reporting systems
Build and maintain dashboards, models, and reports to track capital deployment and utilization
Identify operational or process inefficiencies and recommend improvements
Prepare regular and ad-hoc reports for senior management on capital deployment, portfolio allocation, and investment activity
Preferred QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related field
Understanding of private capital markets, investment execution, and portfolio management
Experience or coursework in private equity, venture capital, real assets, or investment operations
Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail
Proficiency in Excel; familiarity with financial modeling, SQL, or VBA is a plus
Ability to work in fast-paced, collaborative environments
Clear written and verbal communication skills
Strong interest in capital deployment, investment execution, and portfolio management
