Private Capital Operations Associates support investment and fund management teams by overseeing operational processes, monitoring portfolio activity, and ensuring accurate reporting. The role blends financial analysis, fund operations, and transaction support to maintain efficient and compliant investment operations.
Analysts collaborate closely with investment professionals, fund accountants, and legal teams to manage capital calls, distributions, reconciliations, and portfolio reporting.
Key ResponsibilitiesAssist with the administration of private capital funds, including capital calls, distributions, and subscription documents
Monitor and reconcile portfolio activity, NAV calculations, and investor accounts
Support transaction processing for fund investments, co-investments, and secondary market activity
Prepare investor reports, performance metrics, and operational dashboards
Coordinate with internal teams and external service providers (fund administrators, custodians, auditors)
Ensure compliance with fund agreements, regulatory requirements, and internal controls
Identify operational inefficiencies and support process improvement initiatives
Assist in ad-hoc analyses, data requests, and fund-level reporting
Preferred QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field
Knowledge of private capital funds, investment operations, and fund administration
Experience or coursework in private equity, private credit, venture capital, or fund operations
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail
Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint; familiarity with SQL, Python, or other analytical tools is a plus
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
Clear written and verbal communication skills
