Junior Credit Analyst

Altbanq | Midtown Manhattan (On‑Site)

The Junior Credit Analyst at Altbanq is a key member of our credit team. You’ll work closely with experienced underwriters and the Chief Risk Officer, gaining exposure to real credit decisions while helping support the quality and performance of Altbanq’s loan portfolio. This role is designed for candidates early in their careers who are eager to build hands‑on experience in credit analysis, financial review, and risk assessment within a fast‑growing fintech lending platform.

Work Schedule

Fully on‑site, Monday–Friday, 9:30 AM – 6:00 PM

What You’ll Do
  • Review borrower credit reports and assist with background checks and public record searches, including liens, judgments, bankruptcies, and UCC filings.
  • Assist in analyzing financial documents such as bank statements, profit & loss statements, balance sheets, and tax returns to help assess cash flow and credit risk.
  • Support senior analysts on credit reviews and complex cases.
  • Learn and apply Altbanq’s credit policies, procedures, and risk guidelines.
  • Prepare credit summaries and memos for internal review and approval.
What We’re Looking For
  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, economics, business administration, or a related field
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (formulas, filters, basic functions)
  • Strong interest in credit analysis, lending, financial risk and transaction due diligence
  • High attention to detail and willingness to learn
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to stay organized and meet deadlines in a fast‑paced environment
Compensation and Benefits Salary Range

$65,000 - $85,000, depending on experience.
