A leading independent investment bank is seeking a highly motivated Investment Banking Associate to join its Capital Transformation & Debt Advisory practice. This group advises top-tier corporate and financial sponsor clients on capital structure optimization, liability management, debt raises, refinancing, ratings strategy, and complex capital markets situations.
This is a unique opportunity to develop deep expertise alongside senior bankers with extensive Wall Street pedigrees
, within a team experiencing significant growth and momentum.
- Support execution of capital structure advisory mandates, including recapitalizations, refinancings, leveraged finance transactions, capital raises, and restructuring‑adjacent advisory.
- Build, review, and refine advanced financial models covering pro forma capital structures, liquidity analyses, credit metrics, cash flow modeling, and scenario analyses.
- Conduct market research, credit analysis, and investor/lender outreach preparation across high‑yield, leveraged loan, private credit, and structured capital markets.
- Prepare client materials including pitch decks, ratings presentations, lender presentations, and strategic capital structure reviews.
- Work directly with senior leadership and gain meaningful exposure to clients, credit investors, and lending institutions.
- Collaborate cross‑functionally with sector coverage teams and M&A teams on integrated capital solutions.
- 3-5 years of investment banking experience, ideally in leveraged finance, debt advisory, restructuring, capital markets, or M&A.
- Strong modeling skills with deep understanding of credit metrics and capital structure dynamics.
- Excellent communication and client‑facing capabilities with the maturity to interface directly with senior executives.
- Ability to manage multiple work streams and operate in a fast‑paced, entrepreneurial environment.
- A team‑oriented mindset and an eagerness to take on increasing responsibility.
