Syndication Associates support deal teams in structuring, pricing, and distributing transactions to institutional investors. The role blends financial analysis, market intelligence, investor communication, and transaction execution in a fast-paced capital markets environment.
These professionals work closely with coverage bankers, capital markets teams, institutional investors, private credit funds, and legal counsel to ensure successful placement and execution of syndicated offerings.
Key Responsibilities- Assist in structuring and marketing syndicated debt or equity transactions
- Prepare investor presentations, term sheets, offering memoranda, and marketing materials
- Analyze comparable transactions, pricing trends, and investor appetite across markets
- Coordinate due diligence materials and manage data rooms
- Track investor feedback, allocations, and order books during transaction execution
- Support pricing discussions and capital structure analysis
- Maintain relationships with institutional investors and distribution channels
- Monitor secondary market performance and market conditions post-closing
- Collaborate with internal deal teams to ensure smooth execution and settlement
- Develop and maintain transaction pipeline and reporting trackers
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field
- Experience in investment banking, leveraged finance, capital markets, private credit, or related areas (preferred but not required)
- Strong understanding of debt capital markets, loan syndications, or structured finance
- Solid financial modeling and valuation skills
- Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint; familiarity with financial market platforms (e.g., Bloomberg, Capital IQ) is a plus
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills
- Ability to manage multiple live transactions under tight deadlines
- Excellent communication and client-facing skills
- Strong interest in capital markets, transaction execution, and investor distribution
