GP Reporting Analysts support senior leadership, finance, and investment teams by preparing internal reporting related to fund performance, management company financials, carried interest tracking, and portfolio analytics. The role combines financial modeling, performance analysis, compensation tracking, and executive-level reporting in a highly analytical environment.
These professionals work closely with partners, CFOs, fund accounting teams, investor relations, and portfolio operations teams.
Key ResponsibilitiesPrepare internal GP-level reporting on fund performance, portfolio valuations, and investment realizations
Track carried interest calculations, waterfalls, and GP commitments
Support management company budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting
Analyze fund profitability, fee revenue (management fees, performance fees), and expense allocations
Reconcile internal performance data with fund administrators and accounting teams
Develop dashboards and models to monitor portfolio concentration, exposure, and performance trends
Assist with board materials, partner updates, and executive reporting packages
Support audit processes and internal controls related to GP entities
Identify process improvements to enhance data accuracy and reporting efficiency
Respond to ad hoc analytical requests from senior leadership
Preferred QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or a related field
Strong understanding of private markets fund structures and GP/LP economics
Knowledge of carried interest, waterfalls, management fees, and fund expense allocations
Familiarity with private equity, venture capital, private credit, or hedge fund environments
Advanced Excel and financial modeling skills; experience with reporting systems, SQL, or BI tools (Power BI, Tableau) is a plus
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
High attention to detail and ability to manage confidential financial information
Ability to work in deadline-driven, fast-paced environments
Clear written and verbal communication skills
Interest in fund economics, performance analytics, and alternative asset management
