About the Opportunity

Lower middle-market private equity firms, fund-of-funds, secondaries investors, and capital providers within our network may seek analytically strong Sponsor Network Analysts to support GP relationship development, sponsor intelligence, and transaction origination efforts
.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

Build and maintain detailed profiles of private equity sponsors, including fund strategy, deal history, and investment focus

Track sponsor activity across buyouts, add-ons, exits, and fundraising cycles

Maintain internal databases and CRM tools supporting sponsor coverage efforts

Deal Flow & Opportunity Tracking

Monitor sponsor-led transaction activity and pipeline developments

Identify potential investment opportunities sourced through sponsor relationships

Support screening of sponsor-backed deals for strategic and financial fit

Analytical & Financial Support

Perform high-level financial analysis on sponsor-backed companies and transactions

Analyze historical performance, capital structures, and transaction terms

Support valuation analysis using comparable companies and precedent transactions

Research & Market Insights

Conduct research on sponsor strategies, sector focus areas, and portfolio construction

Analyze trends in sponsor behavior, capital deployment, and exit activity

Provide insights to senior team members on sponsor priorities and relationship opportunities

Internal Reporting & Investment Committee Support

Prepare sponsor intelligence summaries, dashboards, and presentation materials

Support preparation of investment memos related to sponsor-backed opportunities

Communicate data-driven perspectives on sponsor quality, alignment, and execution history

Education & Technical Skills

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Engineering, Mathematics, or related field

Strong analytical and organizational skills with attention to detail

Proficiency in Excel; familiarity with CRM tools is a plus

Solid understanding of corporate finance, private equity structures, and valuation fundamentals

Experience (Formal or Informal)

Prior experience or internships in private equity, investment banking, capital markets, fund-of-funds, secondaries, or corporate development is beneficial

Demonstrated interest in private equity sponsors, deal flow, or relationship-driven investing
