About the Opportunity

Firms within the Career Launch AI network—including private equity, growth equity, private credit, and alternative investment managers—may seek an analytically strong Capital Performance Analyst to support fund- and portfolio-level capital decisions.

Individuals in roles like this focus on analyzing how capital is deployed, tracked, and optimized across investments, helping investment teams improve returns, manage risk, and enhance capital efficiency throughout the investment lifecycle.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities Capital Performance & Return Analysis

Analyze fund- and portfolio-level performance, including IRR, MOIC, DPI, and cash flow timing

Track capital deployment, recycling, and return patterns across investments

Evaluate the impact of leverage, follow-on capital, and exit timing on returns

Build and maintain performance and cash flow models to assess capital efficiency

Conduct scenario and sensitivity analyses on capital structures and return outcomes

Support downside and stress testing related to capital deployment decisions

Monitor portfolio company capital usage, cash flow generation, and return contribution

Support analysis for refinancings, recapitalizations, and exit alternatives

Assist in evaluating incremental capital allocation decisions and trade-offs

Investment Committee & Reporting Support

Prepare performance summaries and analytics for investment committees and LP reporting

Translate performance data into clear insights on risks, opportunities, and capital effectiveness

Support standardized reporting on capital performance metrics

Cross-Functional Collaboration

Partner with investment, finance, and portfolio operations teams

Support data consistency across performance tracking, reporting, and analysis

Help improve internal processes for monitoring capital performance

Experience (Formal or Informal)
