A lower middle-market private capital firm (representative of firms within our network) may seek a Buyout Analyst to support senior investment professionals across control buyout transactions
, including leveraged buyouts, platform acquisitions, and add-on investments.

This role is designed for candidates at the beginning of their private equity careers
, offering hands‑on exposure to live buyout deals, rigorous financial modeling, and close interaction with investment team members in a lean, execution‑driven environment.

Build and maintain LBO models
, operating models, and transaction analyses

Analyze returns, leverage profiles, capital structures, and downside scenarios

Perform valuation analyses using comparable companies, precedent transactions, and intrinsic valuation methods

Support screening and underwriting of new buyout opportunities

Assist with diligence across financial, commercial, operational, and legal work streams

Analyze historical financials, forecasts, KPIs, and unit economics

Conduct industry, market, and competitive research to support investment theses

Prepare investment memoranda, financial exhibits, and IC presentation materials

Summarize risks, return drivers, and value‑creation opportunities

Support transaction execution from initial evaluation through closing

Assist in coordinating advisors and managing deal processes

Support ongoing portfolio company performance tracking
