Treasury Accountant

Salary: $95k-115k+ discretionary bonus
Schedule: 9am–5pm

Position Overview

This role combines general accounting and treasury responsibilities for a collections sub-company. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, proficient in accounting fundamentals, and capable of handling high-volume transaction accounting. You will manage AR and cash application for client funds, reconcile bank accounts, support month-end close, and assist with system transitions. This is an excellent opportunity to work in a small but growing company where you can wear multiple hats, influence process improvements, and gain exposure to a variety of financial operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform month-end and year-end journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and general ledger maintenance for the collections sub-company.
  • Manage accounts receivable processes, including cash application, aging reports, and credit memos.
  • Handle treasury functions such as cash forecasting, ACH transactions, and monitoring client cash accounts.
  • Support conversion from Quick Books to Net Suite, ensuring accurate migration of financial data.
  • Collaborate with internal teams (Controller, Assistant Controller, AP, Compliance/Risk) on accounting and cash management processes.
  • Assist with audit preparation and regulatory compliance for collections activities.
  • Identify process improvements and assist in implementing best practices to increase efficiency and accuracy.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required; CPA a plus but not required.
  • 3–5+ years of accounting experience, preferably with exposure to treasury, AR, and high-volume transactional environments.
  • Strong understanding of debits/credits, journal entries, and general ledger accounting.
  • Experience with Quick Books and/or Net Suite; familiarity with other accounting systems a plus.
  • Detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced, growing environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to partner with multiple stakeholders.
