Fund Product Managers in Private Capital oversee the design, launch, and ongoing management of private investment products. The role blends product strategy, fund operations, regulatory coordination, and investor‑facing considerations to ensure funds meet market demand, investment objectives, and operational requirements.
These roles involve close collaboration with investment teams, legal and compliance, fund operations, investor relations, distribution, and external service providers.
Key Responsibilities- Own the end‑to‑end product lifecycle for private capital funds and vehicles
- Partner with investment teams to translate strategy into scalable fund structures
- Coordinate fund launches, amendments, and product enhancements
- Work with legal and compliance teams on fund documentation, disclosures, and regulatory requirements
- Collaborate with operations, administrators, and technology teams to ensure operational readiness
- Develop and maintain product materials, specifications, and internal documentation
- Support investor onboarding, product due diligence, and responses to investor inquiries
- Monitor product performance, scalability, and investor feedback
- Identify opportunities for new products, structures, or enhancements within private markets
- Prepare product updates and recommendations for senior leadership
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, Accounting, or a related field
- Strong understanding of private capital fund structures and investment strategies
- Experience in product management, fund operations, investment operations, or investor relations is a plus
- Familiarity with private equity, private credit, venture capital, or real assets
- Strong project management and cross‑functional coordination skills
- Advanced analytical and problem‑solving abilities
- Proficiency in Excel; familiarity with fund administration or CRM systems is a plus
