About the job you’re consideringCapgemini’s North America Tax function is a team of experienced tax professionals focused on delivering comprehensive tax coverage for the company’s North America Region (NAR). The team is proactive, operating with urgency, in its efforts to continuously address the company’s corporate tax responsibilities – from compliance & controllership to reporting & filings as well as legislative, planning & risk management.
Your role- Prepare quarter and or monthly US state and local non-income tax filings relating to the company’s end-customer and or vendor transactions.
- Execute on opportunities to leverage tax technology solutions and or process improvements to yield efficiencies for US tax compliance for state and local non-income taxes.
- Partner with finance colleagues to ensure alignment of cash tax impacts with accounting requirements and recordkeeping standards (including for any tax risks & uncertainties).
- Assist efforts to mitigate risk from US state and local non-income tax exams.
- Provide “ad hoc” support for Canadian indirect and US state & local income tax filing processes.
- 8+ years of US corporate state tax experience, including 4+ years of focused efforts and demonstrated record of achievement relating to US state sales and use taxes (and other non-income US state & local taxes).
- Accounting degree from accredited 4-year college or university program.
- Preference for candidates with a certified public accountant license (CPA) and or graduate degree in taxation (such as MST).
- Foundational experiences at a Big‑4 (or mid‑sized) accounting firm and or at as part of an in‑house company tax department, with responsibility to deliver comprehensive tax compliance functionality for US state and local sales and use taxes, property tax, and other non‑income taxes.
- Expertise in multi‑state sales and use tax laws, exemptions, and nexus rules.
- Proficient in preparing documentation for recurring US state & local non‑income tax filings & reporting.
- Experience with tax technology solutions and tax automation tools.
The base compensation range for this role in the posted location is: $78,500-$164,500
Capgemini provides compensation range information in accordance with applicable national, state, provincial, and local pay transparency laws. The base compensation range listed for this position reflects the minimum and maximum target compensation Capgemini, in good faith, believes it may pay for the role at the time of this posting. This range may be subject to change as permitted by law.

In addition to base salary, this role may be eligible for additional compensation such as variable incentives, bonuses, or commissions, depending on the position and applicable laws.
