Your roleAre you a strategic thinker with a passion for financial analysis and risk management? We’re seeking a proactive and analytical person to join our Counter party Credit Risk Control team in New York. In this role, you’ll leverage your expertise to:
- Assess Counter party Credit Risk:
Conduct comprehensive evaluations of the counter party credit risk for private equity or private credit entities, by analyzing both quantitative and qualitative factors. This includes performing fundamental credit analysis to recommend internal ratings and credit limits. - Evaluate Exposure and Risks:
Analyze counter party exposure and transactional risks related to trading activities across OTC and Cleared Derivatives, Financing as well as Trade Finance products across Fixed Income and Equity markets. - Prepare Credit Proposals:
Develop detailed credit proposals and reviews, drawing insights on credit assessment, risk appetite, exposure drivers, and business prospects. - Conduct Due Diligence:
Interact with counter parties to gather necessary information, conduct due diligence calls or meetings, and resolve any issues that arise. - Negotiate Trading Documentation:
Engage in the negotiation and review of trading documentation. - Monitor Credit Exposures:
Oversee day-to-day credit exposures against approved limits. - Perform Ad Hoc Analysis:
Carry out additional credit risk analysis and portfolio assessments.

Your teamYou’ll be part of the global Credit Risk Control team within the Investment Bank. Our team is responsible for evaluating and monitoring the creditworthiness of UBS's counter parties, including hedge funds, private market funds, financial institutions, corporate companies, as well as regulated funds. Our remit covers credit assessment, due diligence, limit setting, exposure management, and transaction approvals.
Your expertise- Educational Background:
University degree or equivalent in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Mathematics, or a related field. - Experience:
ideally 10+ years of relevant experience in credit risk analysis or a related field. - Analytical
Skills:
Strong analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving capabilities. - Market Knowledge:
Familiarity with financial markets, traded products, and financial accounting concepts. - Interpersonal
Skills:
Excellent team player with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with colleagues, business units, and senior management.
