This is an exceptional opportunity for a recent PhD graduate or postdoctoral researcher to work at a top-tier hedge fund alongside some of the strongest academic quants in the industry.

As a Junior Quantitative Researcher, you will work closely with senior researchers and portfolio managers to design, test, and implement quantitative models that drive real trading decisions. You will be part of a collaborative, research-driven trading team, contributing directly to alpha generation.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct original quantitative research to identify and develop trading signals and strategies
  • Analyze large, complex datasets using statistical and machine learning techniques
  • Build, test, and refine models used in live trading environments
  • Collaborate with traders, researchers, and technologists to translate research into production
  • Present research findings clearly and rigorously to the wider team
Requirements
  • PhD (or postdoctoral background) in a quantitative discipline such as Mathematics, Statistics, Physics, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
  • Prior quantitative finance experience is required, ideally through internships or full-time roles in buyside quantitative research
  • Strong programming skills in Python (required)
  • Solid foundation in probability, statistics, and linear algebra
  • Demonstrated ability to conduct independent, high-quality research
Nice to Have
  • Experience with machine learning techniques and frameworks - NLP, LLMs, etc.
  • Knowledge of additional programming languages (e.g., C++, Java, R, Julia)
  • Familiarity with financial markets, trading strategies, or market microstructure
What They Offer
  • Opportunity to join a leading hedge fund platform with significant resources and infrastructure
  • Direct mentorship from top-tier academic quants and experienced trading professionals
  • Exposure to live trading and real-world impact of your research
  • A highly intellectual, collaborative, and performance-driven environment
  • Competitive compensation and benefits
