A leading investment bank, private capital advisory firm, or corporate finance group may seek a Capital Efficiency Strategist to support initiatives focused on optimizing capital allocation, improving return on invested capital (ROIC), and enhancing balance sheet efficiency. Analyze capital allocation strategies across growth investments, acquisitions, debt repayment, and shareholder returns

Build and maintain capital efficiency and return models (ROIC, ROE, free cash flow yield, capital turnover)

Support capital structure optimization analyses, including leverage, liquidity, and cost of capital considerations

Conduct scenario and sensitivity analyses to assess the impact of strategic initiatives on capital efficiency metrics

Evaluate investment and divestment opportunities through a capital productivity lens

Support M&A, restructuring, and strategic finance engagements with capital efficiency assessments

Prepare strategic presentations, dashboards, and memos for senior management and clients

Collaborate with investment bankers, corporate finance teams, and strategy professionals on value creation initiatives

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related discipline

Strong understanding of capital allocation, financial performance metrics, and value creation frameworks

Solid financial modeling skills, including returns analysis and scenario modeling

Strong analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving capabilities

Ability to translate complex financial analysis into clear strategic insights

Excellent communication and presentation skills

Ability to manage multiple work streams in a fast-paced environment

Prior internship or full-time experience in investment banking, strategy consulting, corporate finance, FP&A, or private equity is beneficial

Proficiency in Excel, Power Point , and financial research tools
