Overview
Our client, a leading organization in the financial services industry, is seeking a SOX Auditor- NYC to join their team. As a SOX Auditor- NYC, you will be part of the Internal Audit Department supporting the Compliance and Risk Management teams. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and proactive communication, which will align successfully in the organization.
Responsibilities- Partner with clients regarding SOX compliance efforts through planning and performing operational audits.
- Review and evaluate the design and operating effectiveness of financial and operational internal controls.
- Conduct SOX assessments of general business controls performed by business professionals.
- Assist with completing SOC I/SOC II, and manage responses from external auditors.
- Identify control deficiencies and suggest improvements to enhance internal control processes.
- Bachelor s degree in Accounting or Finance.
- At least 3 years of SOX compliance or audit experience.
- Strong proficiency in MS Excel and related data analysis tools.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively.
