A high-growth, PE-backed platform company is seeking a Controller to build and scale a best-in‑class accounting function. The business is executing multiple acquisitions annually and is on a clear trajectory to significantly expand EBITDA over the next several years.

This is a true build-from-scratch opportunity. The Controller will partner directly with the CFO to stand up scalable accounting infrastructure across Hold Co and multiple operating companies, while driving disciplined reporting, controls, and integration processes.

• Build and scale a world‑class accounting function across Hold Co and Op Cos
• Establish consistent policies, processes, and reporting standards
• Recruit, develop, and lead accounting talent
• Instill a culture of transparency, accountability, and operational support
• Own monthly close process (target within 14 days)
• Prepare GAAP‑compliant financial statements and supporting work papers
• Implement and enhance internal controls and accounting policies
• Partner on annual budget, forecast, and long‑range planning
• Deliver actionable reporting and variance analysis to leadership

• Oversee cash flow, liquidity, working capital, and debt compliance
• Manage relationships with external auditors and tax advisors
• Improve tax processes and ensure compliance across jurisdictions

• Lead post‑acquisition accounting integration
• Transition newly acquired entities from inconsistent processes to standardized reporting within 90 days
• Oversee purchase accounting (ASC 805) and build internal capabilities over time

• Implement scalable accounting and reporting systems
• Integrate financial and operational data for real‑time visibility
• Drive automation and process efficiencies across the department
• Manage multiple implementation partners and concurrent projects

• BA in Accounting or related field
• CPA (active or inactive)
• Public accounting (audit preferred) plus operating company experience
• Strong understanding of ASC 805 and business combinations
• Experience in acquisitive or multi‑entity environments
