Senior Accounting Manager

Proprietary Trading / Broker-Dealer Environment

We are working with a self-clearing proprietary trading firm seeking a Senior Accounting Manager to own and lead day-to-day accounting operations. Reporting directly to the CFO, this role sits at the center of financial reporting, regulatory compliance, payroll, treasury, and close — with real influence over controls, processes, and decision-making.

This is a hands‑on role for someone who understands broker‑dealer accounting and is comfortable operating in a regulated, fast‑moving environment.

• Oversee daily accounting operations, month‑end close, general ledger, and financial reporting
• Manage payroll processing and administration (ADP Workforce Now), including audits, tax reporting, and reconciliations
• Prepare and ensure timely submission of financial reports, including FOCUS filings
• Monitor and maintain net capital compliance and support FINOP‑related activities
• Handle treasury functions for the firm and affiliated entities, including wires and banking relationships
• Prepare weekly and monthly management financial reports with commentary and recommendations
• Build projections, rolling revenue calculations, and pro‑formas
• Coordinate audits and continuously improve accounting policies, processes, and internal controls
• Support A/P, A/R, expense allocations, and T&E accounting
• Partner with senior leadership to identify and resolve broker‑dealer financial issues

• Bachelor’s degree required; CPA strongly preferred
• 6+ years of accounting experience, ideally within a broker‑dealer, clearing firm, or financial services environment
• Series 27 a plus (or willingness to obtain)
• Experience with FOCUS reporting, net capital, and regulatory accounting
• Strong payroll experience (ADP Workforce Now preferred)
• Advanced Excel skills;
  Quick Books or similar required
• Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities
