Location: New York

A leading independent investment banking advisory firm is seeking a talented Fin Tech Associate to join its growing Financial Technology & Services practice. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated professional to work on high‑impact M&A advisory, capital raising initiatives, and strategic assignments within the evolving fintech landscape.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and support M&A transaction execution
    , including financial modeling, valuation analyses, industry diligence, process management, and deal documentation review.
  • Develop sophisticated financial models to evaluate fintech business models across payments, lending, wealth management, insurtech, embedded finance, and emerging technology verticals.
  • Prepare detailed client materials including pitch presentations, strategic reviews, industry analyses, and board-level content.
  • Conduct in-depth market and competitive research to identify trends, opportunities, and strategic insights in fintech.
  • Work closely with senior bankers to drive idea generation, assist with deal origination, and support key client relationships.
  • Coordinate workflow and manage junior team members to ensure efficient deal execution and high-quality output.
Qualifications
  • 3-5+ years of investment banking experience with demonstrated M&A execution exposure (priority requirement).
  • Strong financial modeling and valuation skills, with the ability to build and refine complex analytical frameworks.
  • Deep interest in fintech, digital financial services, or technology-enabled business models.
  • Specialty finance experience is preferred but not required.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate complex ideas into client-ready materials.
  • Proven ability to work in a fast-paced, high-accountability environment.
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business, STEM, or related field.
