Location: New York
Responsibilities
- Code and process daily financial transactions within the accounting system
- Review and code credit card and expense transactions
- Process vendor invoices and support accounts payable activities
- Apply and reconcile payments as needed
- Perform daily and weekly transaction reviews to support month-end close
- Complete monthly bank and credit card reconciliations
- Reconcile merchant accounts and third-party payment processors
- Maintain schedules for prepaid expenses and fixed assets
- Reconcile recurring and operational expense accounts
- Support accurate expense recognition and financial reporting
- Maintain organized documentation and audit support as required
- 2+ years of bookkeeping or general accounting experience
- Experience with accounts payable and expense coding
- Experience performing bank and credit card reconciliations
- Ability to manage a high volume of transactions with accuracy
- Familiarity with accounting systems and financial software
- Basic Excel or spreadsheet skills
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to meet deadlines and work independently
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
