Management Assistant Controller​/Controller – PE Firm

You will have the opportunity to help a growing financial services (PE) firm. With multiple locations, you will be working out of their NYC office (currently hybrid).

The ideal candidate will have 8-13 years of corporate/management accounting OR audit (top 10 accounting firm) experience.

• Assist with the preparation of the financial statements
• Be a key member helping out with the month, quarter, and year-end close process
• Help with journal entries, the GL, reconciliations, etc.
• Bridge the gap between accounting and finance in helping with some budgeting and forecasting
• Be a resource for audit inquiries
• Analyze high risk accounts on the balance sheet and income statement to recommend any better methods
• Have an analytical mindset and help out with process improvement initiatives
• Respond to department requests and special projects as they arise

• Bachelor’s Degree in accounting, finance, or business from top tier school
• 8 — 13 years of relevant experience in the accounting, finance, or business
