The Department of Design and Construction, Finance & Procurement Division seeks a Senior Budget Analyst. The selected candidate will be responsible for the following budget and analysis activities within the IFA team. Manage the IFA/DOT portfolio by monitoring requisition submitted to OMB for accuracy and compliance. Responsibilities include maintaining the IFA Capital Project Roster, monitoring funding availability in FMS, creating budget codes in compliance with Local Finance Laws, generating IFA reports using information from FMS and DDC internal databases.
In addition, the Senior Budget Analyst will maintain IFA metric reporting for weekly review with the CFO and executive director, train new team members on how to maintain IFA reports, and create and maintain flowcharts documenting current processes including the use of both internal and external systems.

Minimum Qualifications- A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college and two years of experience in community work or community‑centered activities in an area related to the duties described above; or
- High school graduation or equivalent and six years of experience in community work or community‑centered activities in an area related to the duties described above; or
- Education and/or experience which is equivalent to “1” or “2” above. However, all candidates must have at least one year of experience as described in “1” above.
Flexibility to manage multiple priorities and deadlines, with good written and oral communication skills, and working knowledge of spreadsheets and database familiarity with FMS.

Residency RequirementNew York City residency is generally required within 90 days of appointment. However, City Employees in certain titles who have worked for the City for 2 continuous years may also be eligible to reside in Nassau, Suffolk, Putnam, Westchester, Rockland, or Orange County. To determine if the residency requirement applies to you, please discuss with the agency representative at the time of interview.
