A leading U.S. renewable energy developer and operator focused on utility-scale solar and battery storage is expanding its Investments team.
The platform has an established operating track record and fully integrated capabilities spanning development, capital markets, construction, and long-term asset management. The business develops, finances, and operates large-scale solar and energy storage assets across regulated and deregulated U.S. power markets, supported by institutional capital partners.
The RoleThis Manager-level investment role sits within the platform’s Investments function and serves as a central underwriting and capital allocation seat within the organization.
The position focuses on project finance modeling, commercial structuring, and investment decision-making across utility-scale solar and storage assets. The role offers direct exposure to senior leadership and the Investment Committee, with meaningful influence over which projects are built and how they are capitalized.
Key Responsibilities- Own complex project finance models across utility-scale solar and battery storage assets
- Build and analyze full capital stacks (construction debt, term debt, tax equity, sponsor equity)
- Run sensitivities and evaluate merchant vs. contracted revenue exposure
- Frame risk-return tradeoffs and support capital allocation decisions
- Partner with Capital Markets on construction debt raises and tax equity execution
- Support lender diligence processes and term sheet negotiations
- Underwrite and structure PPAs and battery tolling agreements
- Evaluate strategic M&A and secondary acquisition opportunities
- Support assets from early-stage underwriting through financial close
- Assist with construction budgeting, liquidity forecasting, and capital planning
- Coordinate cross-functionally with Development, Engineering, Tax, Legal, and Capital Markets teams
- Support refinancings, recapitalizations, and potential asset sales
- 4–6 years of relevant experience in renewable project finance, power & utilities investment banking, infrastructure investing, or strategic finance at an IPP/developer
- Strong modeling capabilities, including debt sculpting and capital stack structuring
- Direct exposure to tax equity structures and construction/term debt financing preferred
