OVERVIEW
We are seeking an Equity Research Associate to support coverage of companies within the Internet & Media sector. This role works closely with a senior research professional to provide in-depth financial analysis, modeling, and written research to institutional clients.
The ideal candidate combines strong financial acumen with exceptional writing ability and thrives in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. This is a highly collaborative role that requires intellectual curiosity, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
This is an in-office position with extended hours as required.
Contract:
4+ months
Hourly rate: $50/hour USD W2
Hours:
7am-5pm with potential OT as required
Location:
New York City, NY - Midtown Manhattan
- Build and maintain detailed financial models, including historical analysis and forward-looking forecasts
- Analyze company financial statements, earnings releases, press materials, and industry data
- Assist in preparing written research reports and daily commentary
- Support valuation analysis, including DCF and other valuation methodologies
- Conduct industry and competitive research using databases and market sources
- Respond to ad hoc data and information requests from internal and external stakeholders
- Communicate research insights and recommendations clearly and concisely
- Participate in company meetings, site visits, and management discussions as needed
- Manage multiple deadlines in a high-performance, time-sensitive environment
- 2–3 years of relevant experience in equity research, investment research, finance, or accounting
- Post-secondary degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field
- Strong financial modeling and valuation skills
- Advanced Excel skills; proficiency in Word and Power Point
- Experience using financial research platforms such as Bloomberg or similar tools
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
- Strong analytical ability and attention to detail
- Ability to manage a heavy workload and meet tight deadlines
- Self-motivated with a strong work ethic and intellectual curiosity

- Prior experience within the banking or financial services industry
