Description

Our client, a New York City-based family investment office, is seeking a Senior Investment Associate to join their growing team. This office invests across both private and public markets through direct investments, co-investments, and fund allocations with exposure to a broad spectrum of asset classes. The portfolio spans early-stage startups through post-IPO companies, all supported by a dynamic, high-performing, and entrepreneurial culture.

The Senior Investment Associate, Underwriter, plays a pivotal role in maintaining the team's high standards of underwriting, comprehensive financial diligence, and rigorous investment decision-making. This position ensures that all analyses and executions are high-quality, consistent, and robustly defensible across direct deals, co-investments, and fund opportunities.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and manage detailed financial models for direct investments, co-investments, and fund opportunities
  • Evaluate unit economics, margin profiles, cash flow projections, capital efficiency, and burn/runway across various stages of company growth
  • Conduct downside, sensitivity, and scenario analyses; proactively identify and communicate aggressive or unsupported assumptions
  • Support financial due diligence by organizing data rooms, reviewing third-party reports, analyzing management materials, and tracking outstanding diligence items
Requirements
  • Qualifications:

    Demonstrated expertise in financial modeling, investment analysis, and risk assessment
  • Prior experience supporting transaction diligence in a buy-side or private equity environment
