Location: New York

We are seeking a detail‑oriented and highly organized Bookkeeper / Accountant to manage financial records, oversee reporting processes, and provide clear financial insights to support business decision‑making. The ideal candidate will have expert‑level knowledge of Quick Books, strong analytical and report‑writing skills, and the ability to confidently present financial information to leadership.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage day‑to‑day bookkeeping activities, including accounts payable/receivable and bank reconciliations
  • Maintain accurate and up‑to‑date financial records in Quick Books
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
  • Generate customized financial reports and provide analysis to support strategic decisions
  • Monitor cash flow, budgets, and financial forecasts
  • Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards and tax regulations
  • Assist with audits and coordinate with external accountants or tax advisors
  • Present financial reports and insights clearly to management and stakeholders
  • Identify opportunities to improve financial systems and processes
Required Qualifications
  • Expert‑level proficiency in Quick Books (certification preferred)
  • Strong experience in bookkeeping and/or accounting (5+ years)
  • Advanced report‑writing and financial analysis skills
  • Ability to interpret financial data and communicate insights effectively
  • Experience preparing and presenting financial reports to leadership
  • High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (advanced formulas, reporting, data analysis)
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
  • Accounting degree or relevant certification (CPA, ACCA, CMA, etc., if applicable)
  • Experience with budgeting and forecasting
  • Knowledge of financial controls and compliance best practices
  • Experience working in [insert industry, if relevant]
