Role OverviewCorporate Finance Analysts in venture capital focus on the financial evaluation and strategic support of venture-backed companies
. The role sits at the intersection of investing, financial planning, and portfolio operations, helping ensure that capital is deployed efficiently and portfolio companies are financially positioned for growth, fundraising, and exit events.
Analysts work closely with investment teams, founders, and finance leaders to analyze company performance, model scenarios, and support strategic decision-making across the portfolio.
Key ResponsibilitiesSupport financial analysis for venture investments and portfolio companies
Build and maintain financial models, forecasts, and scenario analyses
Analyze unit economics, burn rates, runway, and capital efficiency
Assist with budgeting, cash flow analysis, and financial planning initiatives
Support due diligence with a focus on financial performance and projections
Track and analyze portfolio KPIs and financial metrics
Assist with valuation analysis and capitalization table reviews
Support fundraising preparation, including financial materials and data requests
Prepare internal reports, dashboards, and presentations for investment teams and LPs
Ideal CandidateBachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, economics, business, or a related discipline
Experience or exposure to corporate finance, FP&A, investment banking, consulting, or venture capital is helpful
Strong financial modeling, Excel, and analytical skills
Interest in startups, venture-backed businesses, and growth-stage financial dynamics
Ability to communicate financial insights clearly to non-financial stakeholders
Detail-oriented, analytical, and comfortable working with ambiguity
Strong written and verbal communication skills
