At Aon, we shape decisions for the better to protect and enrich the lives of people around the world.

As an organization, we are united through trust as one inclusive team, and we are passionate about helping our colleagues and clients succeed.

What the day will look like

In this senior leadership position, you will serve as the primary finance partner to Aon’s Global Reinsurance leadership team, accountable for driving financial strategy, performance, and governance across a sophisticated, global business. Your days will be a blend of strategic influence, analytical leadership, and cross‑enterprise collaboration, including:

  • Acting as the senior finance advisor to the Global Reinsurance leadership team, providing sharp, decision‑focused insights on growth, profitability, and capital deployment
  • Leading financial input into the operating plan and long‑range strategy, ensuring alignment with enterprise goals and return thresholds
  • Evaluating major strategic initiatives — including investments, talent deployment, pricing, portfolio mix, and M&A — with a focus on return on investment, ROIC, and value creation
  • Delivering forward‑looking analysis on market cycles, pricing trends, capacity dynamics, and client segment profitability
  • Owning financial performance management across the Reinsurance business, including monthly results, forecasts, and variance analysis
  • Establishing and refining critical metrics that predict performance and support proactive course correction
  • Driving deeper portfolio‑level analytics across geographies, products, client segments, and capital solutions
  • Translating complex financial data into concise, executive‑ready insights for senior leadership and the Board
  • Partnering with Corporate Planning, Treasury, and Controllership on capital allocation, balance‑sheet decisions, and governance
  • Ensuring strong financial controls, compliance, and disciplined execution against business cases
  • Leading and developing a high‑performing global finance team, fostering engagement, accountability, and talent growth
  • Partnering across Regional CFOs, solution line finance leaders and enterprise teams to ensure consistent insight and execution

This is a high‑visibility, high‑influence leadership role that sits at the very centre of Aon’s Reinsurance strategy. You will work directly with senior executives across finance, strategy, underwriting, capital advisory, and analytics — and play a pivotal role in shaping decisions that drive margin expansion, disciplined growth, and sustainable performance.

What makes this opportunity stand out?

  • You will guide financial strategy for a business operating at the heart of global market cycles
  • You’ll influence decisions at Board level, shaping Aon’s long‑term reinsurance agenda
