Job SummaryThe Accounting Manager is a critical role in the Accounting & Finance Team, responsible for the accuracy of financial data to be relied upon for real time decision making in a rapidly evolving organization, as well as the compilation of financial statements for a large volume of entities in various multi entity consolidated groups.
Responsibilities- Perform timely and accurate month-end close, managing financial closing activities, consolidation, bank and balance sheet account reconciliations, and journal entries in accordance with GAAP.
- Support team in compilation and review of financial analytics and supporting schedules involving income statement, balance sheet and statement of cash flows
- Manage multi-tiered intercompany activity, eliminations and consolidated reporting for 110+ entities
- Lead external reporting across all entities ensuring compliance with all financing agreements
- Participate in weekly accounting activities across AP, AR and cash management
- Drive automation efforts to improve timeliness and accuracy of month end close and reporting processes to drive operational efficiency
- Support Assistant Controller and CFO in strategic projects and initiatives as required, providing GAAP expertise and ensuring financial implications are properly considered
- Manage annual budgeting process across all entities ensuring accurate forecasts that can be used for planning, analytics and decision making
- Master’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a closely related field of study,
- 5 years of accounting experience in technical accounting or financial reporting
- Licenses/Certifications:
CPA license preferred - Experience with high volume or multi-tiered entity structures including consolidations and eliminations;
- Experience in financial statement analysis
- Experience managing audits and external financial relationships.
- Highly organized, analytical, and proactive - you don’t just close the books, you own and improve them every cycle
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite including intermediate excel skills.
- Solid understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
