A high-growth battery energy storage developer focused on the New York City market is expanding its Capital Markets team.
Founded in 2020, the platform develops and finances mid-scale standalone BESS projects in dense urban environments. With a rapidly expanding pipeline and projects entering commissioning, the company is building toward long-term IPP scale.
The business is vertically integrated and focused exclusively on standalone storage across the NYC market.
The RoleThis Senior Associate / VP role sits within the Capital Markets function and serves as a central transaction execution seat within the organization.
The position focuses on project finance modeling, debt and tax equity execution, and capital structuring across a growing standalone storage portfolio. This is a hands‑on execution role with direct exposure to senior leadership and meaningful influence over how projects are financed and scaled.
Key Responsibilities Capital Structuring & Modeling- Own complex project finance models across standalone BESS projects
- Build and analyze capital stacks (construction debt, term debt, tax equity)
- Underwrite NYISO revenue streams and run risk‑return sensitivities
- Prepare materials supporting executive decision‑making
- Lead debt raise processes and manage lender outreach
- Support tax equity structuring and negotiation
- Coordinate diligence and term sheet discussions
- Assist with refinancings and capital optimization initiatives
- Help build in‑house capital markets capability
- Partner closely with development and technical teams to ensure projects are financeable from inception
4–8+ years of relevant experience in:
- Renewable developers with capital markets exposure
- Infrastructure or energy private equity
