Interim Controller

We are seeking an experienced, hands‑on Controller to lead and support key accounting operations during a transitional period. This role is heavily involved in the Month‑End Close process
, which spans approximately half of each month. The ideal candidate is detail‑oriented, process‑driven, and capable of stepping into a leadership position to maintain continuity and accuracy in financial reporting.
Role is located in the Bronx, hybrid schedule.

Lead the Month-End Close process
, including detailed review and reconciliation of accounts, journal entries, and consolidation activities.

Support risk identification related to balance sheet reviews and corporate‑level consolidations, with oversight and collaboration from the team.

Assist in closing corporate books and preparing cash flow forecasts
.

Contribute to the preparation of the monthly board presentation deck
, providing key financial insights and summaries.

Manage/Work closely with Business Unit Controllers
, providing guidance and outputs needed to complete BU entries and financial schedules.

Document key accounting processes and identify opportunities for improvement and standardization.

Provide transitional leadership and maintain control environment standards during system and process evolution.

• Proven experience as a Controller

CPA Required

Manufacturing or distribution preferred, PE experience preferred.

Strong technical accounting and month‑end close expertise.
