Compliance Officer, Finance & Banking

Leading Hedge Fund based in New York is actively seeking a compliance professional to join their team. The firm, which primarily focuses on multi‑strategy investments, is expanding its compliance departments and is searching for highly qualified individuals to join their teams.

The key role responsibilities for the compliance professional include ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements, monitoring internal policies, and conducting risk assessments. The position involves overseeing compliance activities, preparing detailed reports, and collaborating with various departments to maintain the firm's commitment to legal and ethical standards.

• Assist in the drafting, implementation, and enhancement of all legal and compliance policies and procedures.
• Provide support across a variety of compliance initiatives including:
  Code of Ethics, regulatory filings, cybersecurity compliance, electronic communication surveillance, trade surveillance, vendor due diligence, following up on compliance attestations, and updating compliance procedures as needed, in conjunction with the Chief Compliance Officer.
• Collaborate and engage with internal stakeholders to address compliance issues and mitigate risks.
• Stay informed of ongoing regulatory developments and industry trends that are relevant to the team.

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Law, Business, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a compliance role.
• Strong knowledge of regulatory requirements and industry standards.
• Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, and decision‑making skills.
• Strong interest and willingness to develop expertise in legal, regulatory and compliance matters in the alternative investment industry.
