A leading middle‑market or global investment bank may seek a Strategic Industry Coverage Officer to support senior coverage bankers in advising corporate clients within a defined industry vertical (e.g., technology, healthcare, energy, industrials, consumer, or financial services).

This role is well‑suited for candidates interested in developing deep sector expertise
, supporting long‑term client relationships, and contributing to strategic advisory and transaction execution across M&A and capital markets.

• Support industry coverage and client strategy initiatives within an assigned sector
• Build and maintain financial models (3‑statement models, DCFs, LBOs, accretion/dilution analyses)
• Conduct in‑depth industry and company research
  , including market trends, competitive dynamics, and strategic positioning
• Assist in identifying strategic advisory and transaction opportunities for covered clients
• Prepare pitch books, strategic analyses, investment memoranda, and client presentations
• Support live M&A and capital markets transactions in coordination with product and execution teams
• Assist with due diligence, data room management, and transaction execution workflows
• Collaborate closely with senior bankers to support client coverage plans and relationship management

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Mathematics, Business, or a related field
• Strong interest in industry‑focused advisory, corporate strategy, or investment banking coverage roles
• Solid financial modeling, valuation, and analytical skills
• Strong written and verbal communication abilities
• Ability to manage multiple work streams in a fast‑paced, client‑facing environment
• High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
• Prior internship or experience in investment banking, consulting, corporate finance, private equity, or strategy roles is beneficial
• Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and financial research platforms
