Accounting at Rippling is responsible for supporting and communicating the financial story of Rippling. We assess, track and record every penny that Rippling transacts. Our diverse team consists of professionals spread across the United States, Europe and India, with more international locations coming soon. Over the last couple years, our team has grown exponentially to support a complex, multi-product company that operates globally.

Rippling is scaling at hyper speed, and we’re hiring a Director of Accounting to own the financial close and reporting processes to drive efficiency and help tell our story. You will set ambitious targets, unlock new improvement opportunities, build a best in class financial close and reporting process, and partner closely with the Chief Accounting Officer, Controller and cross-functional partners to execute on Rippling’s most important priorities.

This is a highly strategic role:
Rippling is a complex, fast-moving, multi-product company, and we need someone who can be a critical thought partner to the Chief Accounting Officer, Controller, and product teams in providing insights for future product features, driving execution, and navigating ambiguous business problems. Your work will directly influence how we scale an exceptional business and will have significant executive and cross-functional visibility.

You’ll join a high-performing team of accounting professionals from high-growth tech, Big 4 public accounting and the FASB. We value people who are self-motivated, have excellent business judgment, and are energized by operating in a fast-paced environment.

• Lead the U.S.
  
  -based Accounting functions with the ability to define and implement an effective controllership framework;
• Own the monthly, quarterly, and year end close processes maximizing the efficient use of resources to ensure timely and accurate results;
• Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing accounting team, building and maintaining a culture of high performance and accountability;
• Lead the year end audit and serve as the POC for the external audit team;
• Strengthen global accounting policies, procedures, internal controls, and governance structures ensuring adherence to financial procedures, carrying out regular reviews to ensure they remain effective;
• Partner with the Controller on technical accounting areas such as revenue recognition, internally developed capitalized software, and stock-based compensation;
• Contribute towards the financial strategy, opportunities and growth of Rippling;
• Own and manage financial processes and ensure all systems and controls are fit for purpose as the company evolves and grows in line with Rippling strategic objectives;
• Provide support and recommendations to Rippling product and engineering teams, together with other senior stakeholders;
• Keep Rippling Controller, CAO and CFO informed of all key financial reporting, activities and financial risks to the business;
• Support global treasury operations as Rippling expands its products and presence internationally;
• Support global tax operations as Rippling expands its international footprint.
