Fund Advisory Associates support senior advisors, portfolio managers, and investment committees by conducting fund research, performance analysis, and portfolio monitoring across a range of investment strategies. The role blends analytical rigor with client- and investor-facing support, helping ensure fund recommendations align with client objectives, risk profiles, and market conditions.
These roles typically involve close collaboration with investment research teams, portfolio managers, client relationship managers, and risk and compliance professionals.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct qualitative and quantitative analysis of investment funds, managers, and strategies
- Monitor fund performance, risk metrics, style drift, and benchmark comparisons
- Support fund selection, due diligence, and ongoing manager monitoring processes
- Prepare investment memos, fund reviews, and recommendations for internal committees and clients
- Assist in constructing and maintaining model portfolios, fund lineups, or advisory platforms
- Analyze asset allocation, diversification, liquidity, and portfolio-level risk exposures
- Support client reporting, presentations, and responses to investment-related inquiries
- Track capital flows, subscriptions, redemptions, and fund-level updates
- Collaborate with operations and compliance teams to ensure accurate implementation and reporting
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, Mathematics, or a related field
- Strong understanding of investment funds, asset management, and portfolio construction principles
- Familiarity with mutual funds, ETFs, hedge funds, private equity, or private credit structures (preferred)
- Experience or coursework in investment research, manager due diligence, or advisory services is a plus
- Strong analytical and financial modeling skills with attention to detail
- Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint; familiarity with databases, Python, or SQL is a plus
- Ability to synthesize complex investment data into clear, actionable insights
Strong written and verbal communication skills - Interest in fund research, investment advisory, and long-term portfolio strategy
