Investment Banking Associate

Overview

A leading independent investment bank is seeking a highly motivated Associate I to join its Technology Investment Banking Group. The team advises clients across software, digital infrastructure, IT services, tech-enabled services, and emerging technology sectors. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with senior bankers, gain exceptional transaction experience, and build deep expertise across the technology landscape.

• Support execution of mergers & acquisitions, capital raising, and strategic advisory engagements
• Develop detailed financial models, including valuation (DCF, precedent transactions, comparables) and merger modeling
• Conduct in-depth industry and company research to support pitches and live transactions
• Prepare client materials such as pitch decks, management presentations, offering memoranda, and board materials
• Lead parts of the due diligence process, coordinating with internal teams and external counter parties
• Assist in the preparation of marketing materials and business development efforts
• Mentor and oversee analysts, providing guidance on deliverables and workflow

• 1-3 years of professional experience, including at least 1-2 years in investment banking or a closely related field (private equity, corporate development, equity research, etc.)
• Strong financial modeling and analytical skills, with proven experience building complex models from scratch
• Deep interest in the technology sector and understanding of relevant industry trends
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple work streams and thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
• High level of professionalism, attention to detail, and commitment to quality work
