An established NYC-based nonprofit is seeking a Senior Fiscal Analyst to join its team. This is an excellent opportunity for a nonprofit grants accounting professional who understands the full lifecycle of government contracts — from compliance and budget management to month-end close and funder reporting.
Responsibilities- Manage a grant portfolio of approximately $25M
- Perform detailed budget-to-actual variance analysis
- Prepare and review contract billing and supporting documentation
- Communicate directly with funders and participate in monthly meetings with program leadership
- Process budget modifications and ensure month-end close is completed prior to billing
- Ensure compliance with city, state, and federal grant requirements
- 5+ years of grants/contracts accounting experience within a nonprofit organization
- Strong knowledge of government funders such as HOPWA, HRA, and HUD
- Advanced Excel skills (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP)
- Experience with PASSPort
- Strong understanding of compliance, reporting, and government reimbursement billing
- Hybrid schedule: 2 days onsite
