Winter Analyst, Investment Banking

NOTE: This internship program is aimed toward rising juniors, graduating December 2027 or May 2028. This is a fulltime internship program, expected to run from January 4th-March 12th 2027. Intern candidates must be eligible to work fulltime, from our New York City offices during this timeframe in order to be considered.

MTS seeks candidates to fill the position of Investment Banking Winter Analyst. The Investment Banking Winter Analyst will play an important role on the firm’s advisory team, supporting an appropriately staffed team in a broad range of transactions including mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, restructurings, royalty monetizations and capital markets transactions. Winter Analysts can expect to receive a higher level of responsibility and deal execution experience than at peer institutions.

Responsibilities include conducting company and industry research, performing financial and valuation analyses, creating business profiles, and preparing industry overviews on subsectors within the healthcare industry. Financial analyses include creating detailed financial models used for valuation and other financial analysis (DCF, LBO, M&A, accretion/dilution, comparable company and transaction analysis); preparing marketing documents, including pitch materials, confidential offering memoranda, management presentations, fairness opinions and board presentations;

conducting extensive financial and industry due diligence to evaluate the risk/return parameters of a transaction.

Candidates should have a strong desire to work in investment banking and an interest in the healthcare industry. We are looking for candidates with demonstrated leadership in academics and extracurricular activities and currently enrolled full-time at a top rated institution. We seek young men and women with overall excellent judgment and character, strong quantitative and qualitative analytical skills, knowledge of corporate finance, keen attention to detail, desire to excel, and commitment to contributing to the MTS team culture.
