Position Title: Client Investment Research Analyst (Investor Relations team)
Client Investment Research Analysts play a vital role in Bridgewater's client service strategy across the Alpha Engine, Total Portfolio Strategies, and Client Service. Analysts support Bridgewater's Strategists, a group of senior investors, and collaborate with Client Advisors, asset class teams, and CIOs to define approaches for client-focused research projects and execute them through research, analysis, and project management. This role provides an aerial view into Bridgewater's evolving perspectives on world markets, cross-cutting projects, and our investment philosophy.
Analysts continually expand their understanding of markets through formal training and on-the-job instruction, becoming well-versed in our investment approach, process and strategies, our book of business, and production systems. You will partner with Client Advisors and Strategists to provide clients with insights and advice regarding Bridgewater's strategies, performance, and portfolio positions, and you will be exposed to the full breadth of Bridgewater strategies and content across pillars and disciplines.
Responsibilities- Develop a holistic understanding of portfolios and portfolio management principles
- Contribute to Bridgewater's client service strategy by generating insights and conveying key messages about investment philosophy, strategies, performance, and market outlook
- Understand Bridgewater's book of business and related commercial strategy
- Strategize with Client Advisors, other Research teams, and investment professionals to handle client requests and enable high-quality client engagements
- Apply analytical skills and knowledge of Bridgewater's investment methodology to create insights and deliver client-ready reports to tell the Bridgewater investment story
- Project manage complex engagements across senior stakeholders and departments to ensure quality and timely delivery
- Engage with and contribute to the creation of Bridgewater's leverageable content suite to respond to client requests
- Collaborate with existing methodologies and tools to identify problems and help develop new tools, models, or processes
- 1-3 years in a Finance, Consulting, or related analytical role
- Bachelors or Masters degree in STEM, Economics, or Finance (or related fields) with strong academic and extracurricular record
- Interest in and understanding of markets and economies
- Ability to solve complex problems through data analysis
- Aptitude for creative quantitative work involving financial and economic data
- Experience in writing and synthesizing large amounts of information, preferably with a macroeconomic focus

Physical RequirementsThe anticipated onsite requirement for this role is four days per week at our New York City campus.

CompensationThe wage range for this role is $130,000 - $260,000 inclusive of base salary and discretionary target bonus. The expected base salary is approximately 70% - 80% of this range.
