Audit Manager​/Senior Audit Manager, Operations

Location: New York

* ** Audit leadership and project Management** – Lead comprehensive audit engagements from planning through execution, ensuring adherence to CIBC’s Internal Audit methodology and standards.
* ** Risk assessment and scoping** – Identify key business processes, control environments, and residual risks; scope audits using an integrated approach that covers technology and regulatory requirements.
* ** Stakeholder engagement** – Build trust and rapport with business partners, maintain transparency on scope and timelines, and obtain commitment to corrective actions.
* ** Reporting and documentation** – Draft clear, concise audit reports and issues, articulating risks to CIBC; document decisions, rationale, and sampling approaches in relevant templates and systems.
* ** Team development and coaching** – Provide feedback and coaching to audit team members, share knowledge and best practices, and set clear expectations for performance.
* ** Continuous improvement** – Challenge planned testing, suggest improvements, and instruct the team to perform new data analytics to enhance audit efficiency and effectiveness.
* ** You’re a proven leader.
** You bring at least 5 to 8 years of relevant audit experience and demonstrate strong leadership and project management skills. Kindly note that we are hiring for either Audit Manager or Senior Audit Manager.
* ** You have relevant education and credentials.
** You hold a bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field. Professional designations such as CPA, CIA, or CISA are preferred.
* ** You’re a strong communicator.
** You have excellent analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills, enabling you to foster understanding and drive problem-solving.
* ** You’re adaptable and collaborative.
** You thrive in dynamic environments and work effectively with diverse teams and business partners.
* ** You have financial services experience.
** Experience with in financial services or banking is preferred.
