Location: New York
A leading $50B private credit fund is seeking a Director of Operations to oversee end-to-end operational infrastructure across its credit platforms. This role will own core fund operations, client onboarding, prime brokerage relationships, and treasury functions, while leading complex CLO launches, wind-downs, and restructurings. The Director of Operations will partner closely with investment, legal, compliance, finance, and external service providers.
This is a growing fund that is looking to bring on a leader who can manage all day-to-day operations.
Key Responsibilities- Own the full client onboarding lifecycle, including coordination with legal, compliance, fund admin, and custody.
- Maintain strong relationships with fund administrators, custodians, and transfer agents.
- Oversee daily operations across private credit and CLO vehicles, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and strong controls.
- Manage relationships with prime brokers, lenders, and trading counter parties.
- Lead operational setup, launch, and ongoing support of new credit strategies and CLO vehicles.
- Manage operational aspects of CLO resets, refinancings, liquidations, and full wind-downs.
- Serve as senior escalation point for complex operational issues across funds and structures.
- Oversee treasury operations, including cash forecasting, liquidity management, and funding for investments.
- Manage bank relationships, account structures, and payment controls.
- Strengthen internal controls, risk management, and operational governance.
- Lead, mentor, and develop operations team members.
- 10+ years of experience in credit, private credit, CLO, or alternative investment operations.
- Deep hands‑on experience with CLO launches, refinancings, resets, and wind-downs.
- Strong knowledge of client onboarding, fund operations, prime brokerage, and treasury functions.
- Experience working with fund administrators, custodians, prime brokers, and trustees.
- Proven leadership experience managing teams and complex cross‑functional projects.
- Exceptional organizational, communication, and problem‑solving skills.
- Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree or professional certification a plus
