Overview
The Senior Actuarial Analyst will work on a variety of actuarial projects including quarterly reserve analyses and annual loss ratio forecasts and pricing support for underwriters. As you will cover both pricing and reserving, you will be required to present results to leadership and will be partnering with teams across underwriting, claims, reinsurance, finance, data/IT, and risk.
This is an extremely high visibility role from Day 1, requiring the mindset to ask questions, collaborate with other actuaries across the organization, and be an independent thinker.
As a small company, you will often be working very independently outside of the President and Chief Actuaries from other operating units. In this position, there will be major growth opportunities as this unit continues to grow, allowing you to be in charge of your own career.
Responsibilities- Perform quarterly reserve analyses and annual loss ratio forecasts
- Provide pricing support for underwriters
- Present results to leadership and partner with teams across underwriting, claims, reinsurance, finance, data/IT, and risk
- ACAS qualification or near ACAS
- Minimum of three years of pricing and reserving experience within insurance
- Strong technical skills in Excel, SQL, Python, and R
- Excellent presentation and communication skills (experience working with chief actuaries from other operating units)
