We are looking for a Senior Manager, Strategic Finance who will be a foundational member of Pagaya’s growing Strategic Finance team. You will bring strong modeling and analytical skills to become a strategic partner to the Business and the Senior Director, Head of Strategic Finance. You will be part of a fully integrated team with responsibilities across all businesses. The role requires thriving in a dynamic environment and working directly with leaders across Pagaya’s growing operating segments.

You will be integral to Pagaya’s growth strategy, enabling business leaders to scale technology, expand existing markets, and build new strategies.

• Own the FP&A ecosystem:
  Serve as the primary owner of the FP&A system and the architecture of the financial models within it, ensuring data integrity and scalability as the business evolves.
• Build integrated financial forecasts:
  Manage and continuously improve complex revenue/expense, balance sheet, and cash flow models that feed into a comprehensive 3-statement financial model.
• Drive executive insight:
  Create high-impact ad hoc analyses and reporting for executive management; distill complex data into clear, actionable insights.
• Bridge the business and finance:
  Act as a cross-functional partner to deeply understand Pagaya's drivers and translate real-time operational shifts into precise, dynamic forecast updates.
• Support earnings and board reporting:
  Prepare materials for earnings and Board meetings with accuracy and timeliness.
• Automate and scale:
  Leverage technical capabilities to automate manual processes to enable focus on high-impact activities.
• Lead strategic modeling:
  Lead top-down and bottom-up forecasting processes, providing insights into growth initiatives, expense management, and headcount investment.
• Partner with leadership:
  Report directly to the Senior Director, Head of Strategic Finance, to scale processes in alignment with Pagaya’s global growth strategy.

• Proven experience:
  
  8+ years in strategic finance or FP&A; experience in a publicly traded company or high-growth startup preferred.
• Mastery of financial modeling:
  Expert-level in building and maintaining complex, driver-based 3-statement models; scalable models for growing business complexity.
• Systems architect:
  Direct experience implementing/managing FP&A systems (specifically Pigment). Understand data structure and integration with ERP, CRM, data warehouse, etc.
• Executive presence:
  Excellent verbal and written communication; able to present to C-suite and tell the story behind the numbers.
• Business partnership:
  Cross-functional collaboration with Sales, Ops, and Product to translate business changes into financial impact.
• Technical savvy & automation:
  Strong technical aptitude with a builder mindset; advanced Excel; SQL, BI tools (Tableau/Looker), or data automation a plus.
• Public market readiness:
  Familiar with quarterly earnings cycles and external financial reporting rigor.
• Adaptability:
  Thrive in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities and creative problem-solving.

The pay ranges for New York-based hires are commensurate with candidate experience. Pay ranges for candidates outside New York may differ based on local labor costs. Compensation Range for New York Based Hires: $160,000—$180,000 USD.
