Build the Financial Engine of a Growing Fintech

We’re a fast-scaling fintech platform in the lending space, processing significant transaction volume and preparing for our next phase of institutional growth.

Right now, we operate with an outsourced bookkeeper and a fractional CFO. Now we’re ready for our first true in-house accounting leader, someone who can take ownership, build structure, and elevate our finance function from solid to scalable.

If you understand lending economics, loan management systems, and high-volume reconciliations — and you’re energized by building something the right way — this role is for you.

What You’ll Own

• Transition accounting fully in-house from outsourced support
• Lead monthly close and produce clean, GAAP-aligned financials
• Reconcile transaction data across loan management software, banking feeds, and accounting systems
• Build repeatable processes for unit-cost reconciliation and portfolio-level reporting
• Support lender reporting, warehouse lines, and investor-facing documentation
• Strengthen internal controls and prepare the company for audit readiness
• Partner closely with our fractional CFO on long-term financial infrastructure

This is hands-on. You won’t just review numbers — you’ll understand how the business works underneath them.

What You Bring

• progressive accounting experience
• Background in banking, lending, fintech, mortgage, insurance, or similar transaction-heavy industries
• Comfort working inside loan management or similar operational systems
• Strong reconciliation skills — especially at scale
• Advanced Excel proficiency
• Experience building processes, not just maintaining them

CPA preferred but not required.
