Our client, an energy development company focused on storage and solar projects, is looking for a Mergers and Acquisitions Analyst to work with the finance team to develop financial models and use those insights to analyze future investment decisions.
- Develop financial models for various projects
- Analyze cash flow, impact on taxes and valuations
- Assess site soundness and overall investment viability
- Convert technical, interconnection, and permitting factors into financial and project valuations
- Support go/no-go and project prioritization decisions across markets and portfolios
- Conduct sensitivity and scenario analyses to evaluate the impact of, incentive structures, pricing, development schedules, capital structures and exit scenarios
- Partner with the Commercial Team for bids and deal processes, valuation and pricing and financial diligence
- Develop and grow the financial analysis framework including standardized templates for projects, comparison frameworks and various tools
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics or Accounting
- 2-4+ years of experience in a related role
- Strong Excel skills, including building financial models from scratch
- Ability to clearly explain complex financial models
