Certified Public Accountant

Overview

Peterson, MD is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Certified Public Accountant (CPA) to manage all aspects of our financial operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, preparing financial statements, handling tax compliance, and ensuring the overall financial health of our medical practice.

• Manage general ledger, accounts payable, and accounts receivable processes.
• Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
• Oversee payroll processing and ensure compliance with all payroll tax regulations.
• Prepare and file federal, state, and local tax returns.
• Conduct regular financial audits and ensure compliance with GAAP and other relevant financial regulations.
• Provide financial analysis and recommendations to support strategic decision-making.
• Manage budgeting and forecasting activities.
• Assist with financial reporting for insurance and regulatory bodies.

• Bachelor s degree in Accounting or Finance.
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license required.
• Proven experience in accounting, preferably within a healthcare or medical practice environment.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP, tax laws, and financial regulations.
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Quick Books, Xero) and Microsoft Excel.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
