Leveraged Finance Associate Attorney

A leading AmLaw-ranked law firm is seeking a mid- to senior-level Leveraged Finance Associate to join its market-leading finance practice in New York or Chicago. This is a full-time, partnership-track opportunity offering exposure to complex, high-profile financing transactions and significant client interaction.

• Advise agents, lenders, private equity sponsors, and corporate borrowers on leveraged finance matters
• Structure, draft, and negotiate acquisition financings, working capital facilities, recapitalizations, and restructurings
• Handle debtor-in-possession financings, exit financings, and liability management transactions
• Work on sophisticated, multi-tier capital structures, including first- and second-lien, untrenched, first out/last out, and senior/mezzanine facilities
• Collaborate closely with clients and deal teams in a fast-paced, high-energy environment

• Minimum of 4 years of law firm experience in leveraged finance transactions
• Strong drafting, negotiation, and communication skills
• Solid market knowledge of leveraged finance structures
• Excellent academic credentials and attention to detail
• Licensed or eligible to become licensed in the applicable jurisdiction

• Work within a nationally recognized, top-tier finance practice

💰 $310,000–$425,000 annually, commensurate with experience, qualifications, location, and internal equity.
