RepresentativeRole Overview
A leading middle-market or bulge-bracket investment bank may seek a Real Estate Investment Banking Analyst to support transactions, financial modeling, research, and client deliverables for real estate companies and REITs. These roles are ideal for candidates seeking analytical rigor, exposure to M&A, capital markets, structured finance, and advisory services in sectors such as commercial real estate, residential development, hospitality, and property management.
Key ResponsibilitiesBuild and maintain financial models (3-statement, DCF, LBO, REIT-specific metrics, accretion/dilution) for real estate companies, REITs, and property portfolios
Conduct market research, benchmarking, and valuation analyses for commercial, residential, and mixed-use real estate assets
Support live M&A, capital markets, and restructuring engagements within the real estate sector
Prepare pitch books, client presentations, and investment memoranda for property-related deals
Assist with due diligence, data room management, and transaction execution
Collaborate with senior bankers and sector specialists on real estate client strategy and deal execution
Desired QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Real Estate, or a related discipline
Strong analytical skills with proficiency in financial modeling and valuation techniques
Knowledge of real estate financials, property metrics, and REIT structures is a plus
Excellent quantitative, research, and communication abilities
Ability to manage multiple work streams in a fast-paced, transaction-driven environment
High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
