Bookkeeper

Location: East Bloomfield

Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Bookkeeper to join our team on a contract basis in East Bloomfield, New York. This position requires excellent organizational skills and a strong ability to manage financial records with accuracy. The ideal candidate will be proficient in Quick Books and possess a solid understanding of accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliations.

Responsibilities:

- Maintain accurate financial records and ensure proper organization of bookkeeping files.

- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions in a timely manner.

- Perform regular bank reconciliations to ensure financial accuracy.

- Utilize Quick Books software to manage and record financial data effectively.

- Prepare financial reports and summaries as required.

- Monitor and track expenses to ensure adherence to budgets.

- Collaborate with team members to resolve discrepancies and streamline processes.

- Ensure compliance with financial regulations and company policies.

- Assist with audits and provide necessary documentation when needed.

- Identify opportunities to improve financial workflows and implement solutions. Requirements - Proven experience as a bookkeeper or in a similar financial role.

- Proficiency in Quick Books software.

- Knowledge of accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.

- Strong understanding of bank reconciliation procedures.

- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.

- Ability to analyze and resolve discrepancies in financial records.

- Strong communication skills to collaborate with team members.

- Familiarity with financial regulations and compliance standards.
