The Structured Capital Specialist supports investment and capital markets teams in structuring, executing, and monitoring complex financing transactions. The role combines financial analysis, risk assessment, and operational support to ensure efficient deployment of capital in structured and credit-focused investments.
This position involves collaboration with deal teams, portfolio managers, legal/compliance, and operations teams to ensure accurate and timely execution of structured transactions.
Key Responsibilities- Support the structuring and execution of structured finance and capital market transactions, including debt, securitizations, and hybrid instruments
- Perform financial modeling, credit analysis, and scenario testing for structured investments
- Assist in due diligence, documentation review, and closing processes for transactions
- Monitor portfolio performance, risk exposure, and compliance with investment guidelines
- Build and maintain analytical tools, dashboards, and reporting frameworks for structured investments
- Track market trends, pricing, and liquidity conditions relevant to structured products
- Identify operational or financial inefficiencies and propose solutions to enhance execution quality
- Prepare daily, weekly, and ad-hoc reports for senior management and investment committees
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Engineering, or a related field
- Strong understanding of structured finance, credit markets, or capital market instruments
- Experience or coursework in financial modeling, credit analysis, or investment structuring (preferred but not required)
- Advanced analytical skills with strong attention to detail
- Proficiency in Excel; familiarity with Python, R, SQL, or VBA is a plus
- Ability to work effectively in fast-paced, time-sensitive environments
- Clear written and verbal communication skills
- Interest in structured products, capital markets, and complex financial transactions
